Shun - Qingming Delivery
Thesis Project (2025-2026)

A delivery worker from the afterlife who transports offerings from the human world to the deceased during the Qingming Festival.Through her encounters with different spirits and families, she gradually realizes that the items being sent are more than material objects. They are memories, love, and messages from those who are still living.

Yi - Qingming Delivery
Personal Project (2023)

Originally, this was a personal project created in 2023. Later, it was further developed into my thesis project during 2025–2026.

Thaitone - Character Design Project (2022)

This character was created by combining traditional Thai color tones with character design. Since I have always been interested in Chinese-inspired themes and aesthetics, the final result naturally became a colorful character influenced by both styles.

Qingming Delivery
Thesis Project (2025-2026)

Illustrated storytelling book developed under the fictional concept of a “delivery system in theafterlife,” inspired by the Qingming Festival, a traditional Chinese ritual in which paper offeringsand symbolic objects are burned to be sent to the deceased. The narrative follows a delivery worker in the afterlife whose role is to transport items from thehuman world to the deceased. Along the way, she encounters an elderly couple who question the necessity of the items they receive. This interaction leads to a realization that these objects are not merely material goods, but serve as vessels of memory, love, and messages conveying the well-being of the living to those who have passed on.

Under the lotus (2024)

The story follows a pair of siblings who stumble upon the dark secret hidden within their village. Not long after, they are chosen to be offered to the Lotus Pond amidst the joyful celebration of the villagers, who believe the two are the chosen ones of the Lotus Deity. Yet behind the sacred ritual lies a grim truth — the siblings must struggle to survive becoming sacrifices while uncovering the mystery surrounding the village.

This idea was inspired by my love for lotus flowers. Lotuses are often seen as symbols of purity and virtue, but I wanted to create a setting where that very purity is used as a façade for something far more sinister, where the lotus becomes a tool for hidden cruelty beneath the image of holiness.

KabBuw fabric

The villagers’ clothing was inspired by Kab Buw fabric, a traditional textile woven from lotus fibers and regarded as one of the cultural identities of Ubon Ratchathani. This region is also widely known for its famous lotus flowers, making it a fitting influence for the visual identity of the village and its devotion to the lotus.

environment sketch

The world setting is heavily inspired by Southeast Asia, with a humid tropical atmosphere. The village itself is hidden deep within a secluded valley, surrounded by towering mountains. At its center lies a vast basin filled with endless lotus ponds stretching across the land.In the heart of the village stands a sacred ceremonial site believed to be the dwelling place of the Lotus Deity. The villagers worship it with absolute devotion, and every three years, one of their own is chosen to be offered as a sacrifice in the name of faith.

The architecture of the village was inspired by the shape of a blooming lotus bud. Because the setting is located within a humid tropical region, the houses are built on raised stilts, echoing traditional Southeast Asian architecture. Their roofs are crafted from enormous lotus petals, further reinforcing the village’s devotion to the flower.I wanted every aspect of the village to feel as though it was born from the lotus itself, from clothing and food to rituals and even the construction of the buildings. The lotus is not merely a symbol within the village, but the foundation of its entire way of life.

I was also inspired by elements of Buddhism, though I intentionally avoided using direct religious symbolism due to the sensitivity of the subject. Instead, I created a village devoted to the worship of lotus flowers with near-fanatical devotion. Beneath the beauty and serenity of the setting lies a disturbing truth, human sacrifices carried out in the name of faith, alongside countless ritualistic symbols and shrines hidden within the villagers’ homes.
